When I originally created the Maverick Musings blog last spring it was to complete a series of grad school assignments. I jumped from topic to topic creating posts about living alone in a big city to sharing my observations of being an introvert in an extroverted world. While I greatly enjoyed writing about these topics, the assignment guidelines held me back from writing as freely as I wished I could.
When my class ended, I knew I wanted to keep this blog up and transition it into my writing outlet. However, just as I was getting reading to do the revamp, I fell headfirst into one of the busiest semesters I have ever experienced, both professionally and as a student. Unfortunately, the blog fell to the bottom of my priorities, despite my desperation to write something other than research papers.
So many things have changed in my life over the last two months as that busy semester came to a close. I finished my grad school program, quit my job, uprooted my life from Boston to Michigan to Chicago with my beloved Polar Seltzers in tow, and now have finally settled in northern Chicago with a fellow true crime-loving friend from college. Despite all the chaos, I finally have a semblance of a life again!
And now, I’m excited to finally announce that I’m ready to pick this blog back up on a regular basis with danikate.com. Thank you for being so patient, and I hope you like what comes next.
